A Lauderdale County sheriff's deputy is free on a $250 bond after he was charged with domestic violence Tuesday night.
Tavaras Smith, 22, 9560 Gum Lodge Road, Apt. C., was arrested at about 11 p.m. after his girlfriend called for help, according to Lauderdale County Sheriff Billy Sollie. Sollie said he could not release the victim's name.
