Ty Trahan couldn't ask for much more out of his first schedule as the head football coach at Southeast Lauderdale High School.
The Tigers coach, who was hired in January, will open his inaugural season at Southeast at home against Enterprise on Aug. 27.
Southeast doesn't travel very far from its home field for its next two games, as the team follows its opener with two road contests.
The Tigers play at Northeast Lauderdale on Sept. 3, and they stay on the road for a contest against Clarkdale on Sept. 9.
The only aspect of the 2004 schedule that the new Tigers coach doesn't like is the final game.
Southeast will close the season against non-district foe Richton at home on Oct. 29.
Trahan said he would rather have the fourth non-district game early in the season, instead of opening conference play on Sept. 17 against Forest.
Even with the odd scheduling of a non-district game capping the season, Trahan said he likes the make-up of schedule.
The Tigers first district game against Forest is at home, and they stay home for another division contest against Carthage on Sept. 24.
Southeast takes a short trip to West Lauderdale on Oct. 1, and the team returns home on Oct. 8 for its homecoming game against Choctaw Central.
The Tigers wrap up their district schedule with back-to-back road games, playing at Morton on Oct. 15 and finishing with Newton County on Oct. 22.
