50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry I. Creel celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 22, 2004. They were married in 1954 in Quitman. The couple have three children: Debbie Luttrell and her husband, Talmadge, of Montevallo, Ala., Dale Creel and his wife, Sheila, Cathye Hagan and her husband, John, all of Meridian; five grandchildren, Lee Estes, Tehran and Lindsay Hagan, and Jeremy and Kalyn Creel; and two great-grandchildren, Jaron Strawbridge and Kyle Harper. To celebrate, a ceremony to renew their vows held at Howard Johnson's banquet hall. The Creels are retired and live in Meridian. Mrs. Creel is the former Mary Kathryn Harper.
