Retired nurse
Services for Helen Walker Kelsheimer will be held today at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home with the Rev. James Sanders officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Kelsheimer, 82, of Meridian, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Beverly Health Care. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she had served as the choir director for many years.
Survivors include her son, George H. Walker Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Meridian; grandchildren, Angela Boyd and her husband, Greg, of Tylertown, George H. Walker III and his wife, Leigh Ann, of Coppell, Texas, Stephen Walker and his wife, Teresa, of Meridian, and Keith Walker and his wife, Christy, of Gulfport; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy English and his wife, Exia Mae, of Indiana; and several relatives in Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Walker Sr.; her second husband, Ezra Kelsheimer; and a son, Stephen D. Walker.
The family requests memorials be made to New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be George Walker, Greg Boyd, Keith Walker and Stephen Walker.
UNION Services for Eddie C. Booth will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Junior Myers officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Booth, 44, of Decatur, died Thursday, May 20, 2004. He was a member of Conehatta Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Laurene Booth of Decatur; daughters, Angel Stevens and husband, Ricky, of Newton and Kayla Booth of Decatur; a grandson, Dalton Stevens; her mother-in-law, Tiny Hutchins and her father-in-law, Wilson Stamper, all of Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Bob Warren, Clement White, Jason Crocker, Ronnie Crocker, Paul Freeman and Gerald Scarbough.

Services for Harold W. Scitzs will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Alan Randall officiating. Burial will be in Hamrick Cemetery in Collinsville.
Mr. Scitzs, 62, of Collinsville, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a retired public works employee for Naval Air Station Meridian. He was a Baptist and loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include his wife, Janis Sanderford Scitzs of Collinsville; sons, Richard Scitzs and his wife, Angela, of Panama City, Fla. and Mike Scitzs of Collinsville; daughters, Tracy Walker and her husband, Butch, of Macon and Kathy Sims and her husband, Raymond, of Meridian; nine grandchildren; and one brother.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
LAUREL Services for George Sherwood Hamrick will be held today at 2 p.m. at Stonewall Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Kenneth Byrd, David Hagen and Ed Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Stonewall Cemetery with Memory Chapel in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hamrick, 74, of Laurel, formerly of Pachuta, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at South Central Regional Medical Center. He was retired as a crew supervisor in the oil field business. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Life Church.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Smith Hamrick of Laurel; a son, Tony Hamrick of Laurel; a daughter, Debra Gates and her husband, Larry, of Laurel; grandchildren, Spencer McCoy and Kayla Gates; brothers, Charles Hamrick, Harmon Hamrick, J.R. Hamrick and Billy Gene Hamrick, all of Stonewall; sisters, Inez McNeal and Deloris Cangemi, both of Stonewall; and several nieces, nephews and many friends with his affiliation with Catfish One.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Hamrick, Michael Hamrick, Kevin Dean Hamrick, David Dew, Steve Hamrick and John Cangemi. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Owen, A.D. Gilbert and Joe Michael Robertson.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
