Natural and organic foods will be the focus of Saturday's tasting fair at Clarkco State Park.
Meridian's Nature's Choice Club and the Ozark Cooperative Warehouse in Fayetteville, Ark., are sponsoring the fair. It will be from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Pavilion No. 2 in the park near Quitman on Highway 145.
Kim Briggs, a member of the Meridian club, said the event has an educational theme.
The event includes a regional meeting for other organic and natural food-lovers from Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana. The meeting and food tasting are open to the public.
Foods included in the tasting include tortilla chips, salsa, trail mix, dried herbs, protein bars, cereal, soy and rice milk, and orange, carrot, apple and mango juices.
Other foods include children's snacks, canned tomatoes, peas, soda and vitamins.
