Services for Ruby M. Robinson will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Robinson, 98, of Meridian, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Chunky Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Billy J. Robinson and his wife, Frances, of Meridian; a granddaughter, Karol Vaughn and her husband, Chris, of Meridian; a grandson, Steve Robinson of Meridian; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Vaughn and Chloe Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie S. Robinson.
The family requests memorials be made to Chunky Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for George D. Blackwell Jr., will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike DePhillips officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Meridian.
Mr. Blackwell, 81, of Collinsville, died Friday, May 7, 2004, in his home. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Highland United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rowena Edwards Blackwell of Collinsville; a daughter, Ann Pogue and her husband, Jack, of Quitman; two sons, R.O. "Bobby" Blackwell and his wife, Betty, of Collinsville, and Glenn Blackwell of Whiteburg, Ga.; grandchildren, Matt Pogue and his wife, Shea, Susan Dearman and her husband, Jim, Honey Godwin and her husband, Michael, Jody Jordan and his wife, Beth, and Todd Jordan and his wife, Amber; great-grandchildren, Mark Godwin, Ethan Godwin, Noah and Micah Pogue, River Jordan, and Joseph Jordan; a brother, Benny Blackwell of Meridian; a sister, Louise Grace of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be A.J. Saterfield, Paul Hopper, Joe Byrd, Larry Davidson, Gary Hodgins, Doc Davis, Jerry Smith, and Jerry Davis.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
