Meridian Community College (12-3) used six home runs to post a pair of 11-1 wins over Wabash Valley Community College in a doubleheader at Scaggs Field on Tuesday
MCC pounded out 25 hits in the two games and scored 22 runs, but Eagles head coach Mike Federico wanted to talk defense following the game.
MCC didn't commit an error in the field all day, as the Eagles jumped on every erroneous pitch tossed their way at the plate. In the first game, MCC scored eight runs in the fifth inning en route to a 10-run rule victory.
Eagles first baseman Joey Lieberman opened the scoring in the fifth with a single to left to bring home a pair of runs to take a 4-1 lead.
Designated hitter Aaron George followed with a single of his own to plate another run, and left fielder Josh Morgan delivered a two-run double to right field for a 7-1 advantage.
MCC right fielder Sam Self knocked Morgan in with a double of his own, and second baseman Kyle Ginn ended the rally with a two-run homer to center field for a 10-1 lead. Ginn also hit a home run in the third inning.
Rayborn went six innings and allowed one earned run, while striking out nine.
Wabash's Jonathan Llamos gave his team a 1-0 lead in the top of the second with a homer, but Ginn tied the game with a solo homer in the bottom of the third.
Lieberman used the win again in the fourth inning sending a solo home run over the left-center field wall to take a 2-1 lead.
MCC's Richmond Alexander, a former Meridian High School standout, added the final run to the board in the sixth with a double to give Eagles the run-rule win.

Dusty Davis and Chris Moffett combined for a three-hit shutout in the second game for the Eagles.
After Wabash's Ramon Downing hit a sole homer in the top of the first inning, MCC third baseman Van Pope tied the game at one with an RBI single to score Michael Murray, who led off the bottom half of the first with a double.
Lieberman drove Pope home with a single to take a 2-1 advantage, and Morgan cleared the base path with a grand slam for a 6-1 lead two batters later.
Ginn ended MCC's opening-inning rally with an RBI single to take a 7-1 lead.
Lieberman cranked his second home run of the day in the second inning to take two more runs onto the Eagles' lead, and MCC posted two runs in the fourth, highlighted by a sole homer from Morgan, to cap the scoring in game two.
Davis pitched four innings and allowed one earned run with two strikeouts. Moffett, who sat out all of last season, made his return to the MCC pitching staff throwing one scoreless inning. Moffett recorded a pair of strikeouts.
MCC returns to action Friday at home against Forest Park in a single game scheduled for 2 p.m.
