Student pilot injured in landing mishap'

Officials at Naval Air Station Meridian are investigating a landing mishap on Tuesday that sent a Navy student pilot to a local hospital.
The student, whose name is being withheld pending notification of family, is listed in good condition. The accident happened about 6:15 p.m. when officials from NAS Meridian say the pilot's T-45C "Goshawk" was "involved in a mishap while making a landing at McCain Field."
The student was assigned to Training Squadron 9 and was on a routine training mission. No other information on the accident was available at press time.
