60th anniversary
On Sept. 25, 2003, Leon and Mildred Fagan Mabry of Lake celebrated their 60th anniversary. Their children, Fay Evans and her husband, Charles, Ruth Rucker and her husband, James, and David and Tina Mabry surprised the couple with a party on Sept. 21. The couple's grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends were present to mark this milestone.
30th anniversary
Charles and Nancee Thompson were married Oct. 6, 1973, at South Side Baptist Church, now Central Baptist Church. They recently celebrated their 30th anniversary on a cruise to Montego Bay, Cayman Islands and Cozumel. The couple has two children, Kim and Chad.
