Lions hope to stop slide

SCOOBA East Mississippi Community College is trying to heal not just on the scoreboard but in the locker room.
The Lions (2-4) have lost their last three games by a combined score of 108-62, and the team has lost numerous players to injuries after posting a 2-1 record in the opening three weeks of the season.
EMCC will get the services of linebacker Renuel Green, who has missed the last two games because of a leg infection, back for the team's 2:30 p.m. road game against Northwest Community College on Saturday.
But the Lions will still take on the Rangers with some holes in their lineup.
EMCC will have to find away to maximize all of its available manpower in order to stop its three-game skid against Northwest.
On offense, the Rangers are a threat to throw the deep ball, and the team mixes in the option to keep defenses honest.
Northwest generally employs a 4-3 defensive scheme to stop the opposition's offense, and Goode said on film the Rangers appear to be very fast.
