    Obituaries for Friday, Oct. 3, 2003

    Services for Annie B. Hardaway-Williams will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bartholomew Missionary Baptist Church in Newton with the Revs. Shawn Croft and Charles Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Musgrove Cemetery in Enterprise. Enterprise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Williams, 92, of Milan, Ill., died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, Ill. She was born Jan. 1, 1911 in Newton County, the daughter of Rallie and Mary Walker Norman. She was a schoolteacher and retired in May of 1974. She married George M. Hardaway on Sept. 26, 1936 in Newton. She then married Acie Williams in 1976 after the death of her first husband. She was a member of Heroines of Jerico. She was a source of strength and inspiration for her family, church and community.
    Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie J. Ballard of Milan, Ill., Annie G. Robinson and her husband, the Rev. Charles E. Robinson of Monmouth, Ill., George M. Hardaway Sr. and his wife, Jo F. of Enterprise, Linda G. McMahan of Monmouth, Ill., a step-daughter, Lois Lowery and her husband, Robert, of Enterprise; a brother, Clinton Norman and his wife, Delene, of Newton; sisters-in-law, Eula Hardaway of Selma, Ala. and Lola Hardaway of Enterprise; grandchildren, Matthew Ballard and his wife, Elaine, of Chicago, D'Juana Ballard of Minneapolis, Marcus Ballard of Milan, Ill., Daneca Walker and her husband, Anthony, Charles E. Robinson IV, Natalie Rush and her husband, Broaderrick, all of Rock Island, Ill., Travis Robinson of Macomb, Ill, D'Angelo Robinson of Tempe, Ariz. Cassandra Miller and her husband, Willie, of Fort Hood, Texas, Shakira and Joan Hardaway of Oklahoma City, George M. Hardaway Jr. and his wife, Rose, of Vossburg, Tristan Hardaway, and Kimberly Cole, both of Enterprise; Great-grandchildren, Cori, Brea and Asia Miller, Whitney and Amber Robinson, Broaderrick, LeVar and Netallia Rush, Cameryn Robinson, A.J., Alex and Carrington Walker, Anthony Ballard, Marcus, Jimmy and Jamal Smith, a god daughter, Sonya Marshall and several nieces and nephews and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husbands, George M. Hardaway and Acie Williams; parents, a son-in-law, Luther Ballard; sisters, Leona Chapman and Odessa "Sugar" Hardaway and brothers, Sam Norman and Shedrich Norman.

    Services for Clifton Rush will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Preston with the Rev. Darrell Rush officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Clark's Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Rush, 55, of Preston, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at his home.
    Survivors include his wife, Vickie Rush of Preston; his mother, Eunice Harrington of Preston; his stepfather, Cary Harrington of Preston; two sons, Christopher Rush and De Mika Rush, both of Davenport, Iowa; three daughters, Staff Sgt. T'Erricka Rush of Columbus Air Force Base, Renae Rush of Metropolis, Ill., and Teresa Rush of Rock Island, Ill.; three sisters, Sulvia J. Cullum and Doriseene Steele, both of Davenport and Sara Brandyburg of DeKalb; seven brothers, Lavon Rush of Preston, Larry Rush of Philadelphia, and Leroy Rush, Lenton Rush, Marcus Rush, Jarris Rush and Henry Lewis, all of Davenport; and 12 grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Shelby Rush.

    Services for Ezra Anderson will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Mark United Methodist Church in DeKalb with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Bass officiating. Burial will be in Unity Spring Cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Anderson, 75, of DeKalb, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a retired educator with Kemper County.
    Survivors include his wife, Gertia Anderson of DeKalb; a daughter, Charita Anderson Johnson of Montgomery, Ala.; two sons, Kelvin Anderson of Athens, Ala., and Lee Michael Anderson of Tupelo; four sisters, Geraldine Gordon of Flint, Mich., Ella Bullins, Susie Johnson and Edna Wilburn, all of Meridian; three brothers, Charles Anderson and Norris Anderson, both of DeKalb and Lonnie Anderson of Flint; and five grandchildren.
    Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

    QUITMAN Services for Joe H. Moore will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Lauderdale with the Rev. Grover Mosley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Berry &Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Moore, 68, of Quitman, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was a retired employee of the city of Quitman.
    Survivors include two daughters, Gracie Young of Cuba, Ala. and Jo Ann Davis of Meridian; two sons, Joe Henry Moore Jr., of Quitman and Johnny Jones of Shubuta; two sisters, Pearlie Baylor of Meridian and Mary Lee Barnett of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Willie Lee Moore of Quitman and Charlie Moore of Chicago; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Jessie Bridges, 39, of Meridian, who died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Heartfelt Hospice.
