Morgan, Little leading by two

The second day of the annual Labor Day Tournament at Northwood Country Club was once again faced with weather problems. The late afternoon round was delayed for over an hour due to very severe rain and lightning.
After a solid 59 to open the tournament on Saturday the duo of Judge Little and Scott Morgan put together another big day to stay at the top of the leaderboard. Little and Morgan shot a 57 to close out their second round for a two-day total of 116, giving them a slight edge over the team of Nick and Eddie Brown.
Little and Morgan were very pleased with the second round despite the heavy rains. "The rain really didn't affect our play because we only had four holes left to play when the delay was called," Little said. "We will just need to continue to play well and sink our putts."
The Browns shot a second-round 58 to put them just two strokes behind the leaders going into today's final round. After play resumed, Little and Morgan birdied the 14th.
Things looked to turn for the worse on the 16th for Little and Morgan as the tee shot sailed long right and laid to rest on a small hill above a drainage ditch. Little was able to save a big birdie on the hole to move the team to 12-under par at that point. The 17th hole saw a pair of unbelievable tee shots from both groups. Morgan hit his tee shot within two feet of the hole, but Kent Daniel would better the leaders on this occasion. Daniel used a sandwedge to put the shot a couple of inches from the pin to give himself and Rob Bullock birdie.
Daniel and Bullock finished the second round with a 57 to put the team right back into the the thick of the tournament. Little and Morgan ended the day with a final birdie on the par four 18th.
J.T. Williamson and Chuck Smith also had a great day on the links at Northwood with a 61 to put them within striking distance for the championship. Earl Aycock and Kelly Swain also fired a 61 to put them right behind Little and Morgan. Chuck Gordon and Winston Powell notched a second-round score of 61 to put them into a tie for third place.
