Son of Hollywood director pledges help to victims' families

The son of the late Hollywood film director Henry Hathaway was sitting in his Malibu, Calif., home last week watching television in disbelief as news of the Lockheed Martin shooting broke.
Jack Hathaway watched as a tearful Bobby McCall talked to reporters about how he'd lost his wife of 21 years, Lynette one of six employees of the Lockheed Martin plant in Lauderdale County shot and killed by a co-worker.
Even though he was thousands of miles away from the site of the shooting, Hathaway said he felt a need to help the victims' families.
Hathaway whose father directed more than 75 Westerns, including the Oscar-winning 1969 John Wayne film "True Grit" said he was personally touched by the stories of the families of Lynette McCall and Thomas Willis.
Hathaway said he plans to contact the families of those, and possibly other victims, some time this week and offer his help.
