UNION Services for Effie Nell Petty will be held today at 11 a.m. at Neshoba Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Collins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Petty, 73, of Union, died Friday, March 28, 2003, in Union. She was a member of Neshoba Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Mark Petty and his wife, Lenora, of Union; a grandson, Justin Petty of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Gail Petty of Pensacola; a brother, Bill Banks and his wife, Marylyn, of Meridian; sisters, Rebecca Burns and her husband, Earl, of Pascagoula and Ora Maude Smith of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Petty; and a son, David Petty.
Pallbearers will be Charles Smith, Clay Burns, Danny Burns, Jerry Banks, Freddie Ezelle and Dennis Guess.

PINE MILL, Ala. Services for Shirley Rogers will be held today at 3 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Springbank Cemetery in Silas, Ala.
Mrs. Rogers, 56, of Jackson, Ala., died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Jackson Medical Center in Jackson, Ala.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Rogers, sons, Robert Anthony Rogers and Randall Curtis Rogers, all of Jackson; brothers, David Hodge of Waynesville, N.C., Benny Hodge of Gainestown, Ala., and John William Hodge of Jackson, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at the funeral home.
BUTLER, Ala. Services for Dylan Donovan were held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Stevie Abston and Mark Lowery officiating. Burial was in Brightwater Cemetery in Needham, Ala.
Infant Donovan of Butler, died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his mother, Monica M. Donovan and his father, Stephen Donovan and a sister, Samantha Hearn, all of Butler; maternal grandparents, Vernon and Sandra Hearn of Butler; paternal grandparents, Robert and Corinne Donovan of Newport News, Va.; maternal great-grandmothers, Louina Hearn and Hazel T. Skelton; and paternal great-grandparents, James and Fran Donovan.
Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton for Dr. Silas Hindman of Newton, who died Monday, March 31, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
