Meridian police searched for a suspect Thursday night in the robbery of a North Meridian convenience store.
Police Capt. Jeff Lewis said details were sketchy. He said a black man took an unspecified amount of cash sometime after 7 p.m. from the Chevron station on the corner of Poplar Springs Drive and North Hills Street.
Lewis said the suspect entered the store, made an aggressive move toward the clerk, told her to open the cash drawer, "and it went from there."
Lewis said the clerk didn't see the man display a weapon. He said the man got into a vehicle and was driven away from the scene.
