Walker, Rhodes

Jessica Joy Rhodes of Meridian and Davey O'Bryan Walker of Collinsville were married Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Heron Baptist Church in the Causeyville Community, with the the Rev. Tommy Scarbrough, grandfather of the bridegroom, officiating.
Parents of the couple are Rodney and Kim Rhodes of Meridian, and Ricky and Chris Walker of Collinsville.
Grandparents of the bride are Jessie and Joy Trantham, and the late Ed and Evelyn Rhodes.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the Rev. Tommy and Barbara Scarbrough of the Martin Community, and Clyde and Ellen Walker of Collinsville. Great-grandparents are the late Tillie Hatcher and Edna Earl Hatcher of Martin, Garnet Whitaker of Meridian and the late John and Margie Carpenter of Collinsville, and the late Clyde and Mable Walker of Collinsville.
Nuptial music was provided by Jay Parker and Kelly McMullen of Meridian, and Joy Ethridge of Meridian, pianist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a strapless gown with a heavily sheared bodice accented by rhinestones and crystals. The multi-layered tulle skirt with beading, swept into a court-length train. She carried a bouquet of pink calla lilies and mixed wildflowers.
Hailey Rutledge of Meridian served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Rutledge, Brandy McLeLand and Heather Shirley, all of Meridian, and Amy Rutledge of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Aaron Coward of DeKalb, Alan Thomas of Meridian, Kyle White of Bailey and Luke Walker of Collinsville, brother of the bridegroom. Max Vance and Jason Ruthledge served as candle lighter and ushers.
Mallory Vance of Collinsville was flower girl. Ring bearer was Kyle Rhodes, brother of the bride. Rice girls were Emily Jo and Randle Walker. The register attendant was Renee Vance.
Assisting at the reception were Tracy Ethridge, Cathy Theall, Renee Vance, Marsha Coward, Mitt Hitt and Teresa Rutledge.
After a honeymoon in Destin, Fla., the couple resides in Collinsville.
