Shelby, Gandy

Crystal Renee Gandy and Thomas Daricek Shelby, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, April 6, 2002, at the home of Wendy and Ronald Fisher, with the Rev. Buddy Petty officiating.
Parents of the couple are Linda Thomas of Meridian and the late Glenn Thomas, Thomas Shelby of Toomsuba and Sharon Fagan of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Becky Thomas of Meridian and the late M.F. Thomas, the late Sadie Cooper Blair and the late Edmond Cooper.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Josephine Shelby of Toomsuba and the late Oscar Shelby, Bettye Woodward of Meridian and the late Rudy Daricek.
Nuptial music was provided by Melissa Pogue, flutist.
The bride was given in marriage by Ronald Fisher. She wore a formal straight gown of white satin with chiffon overlay with a floor-length veil lined in satin. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses with ivy.
Wendy Fisher served as matron of honor and Emiley Maysonett was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amy Hodges of Meridian and Shanna Barnett of Enterprise.
Flower girls were Kaylan Fisher of Meridian and Trisha Rainer of Toomsuba.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Tommy Bergin, Waylon Temple and Rick Horne, all of Meridian. Ushers were Ron Fagan and Ronald Fisher, both of Meridian.
Guest book attendants were Katie Cooper and Jennifer Boykin.
A reception was held at Union Station following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Gloria Leggett and Albert Creer.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Meridian.
