Northwood, Briarwood ready for match play

Country Club bragging rights for Lauderdale County will be on the line this weekend when teams from Northwood Country Club and Briarwood Country Club square off in a format similar to the Ryder Cup.
The two 12-man teams, will tee it up on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Northwood Country Club.
The match play will take place Sunday afternoon at Briarwood Country Club. Play will start at 1 p.m.
Briarwood pro Rob McGraw said the members of both clubs wanted to compete in a Ryder Cup-like match.
Each club will send out six, two-man teams on Saturday for the four-ball format. On Sunday, the 12 individual members will be paired up against the opposing club's 12 in match play.
The Northwood team will be represented by Judge Little, Scott Morgan, Kelly Swain, Earl Adcock, Chuck Ray, Ed Broome, Eddie Brown, Johnny Dement, David Ray, Alec Weddington and Jimmy Carle.
The Briarwood team consists of Robert Sanford, Willie Frazier, Colton Tisdale, Rick Gentry, Benji Baskin, Jack Combest, Daniel Boles, Clinton Hales, Bruce Clopton, Joey Mabry, Billy McWilliams and Tony Polizzi. Mac Barnes and Erin Davidson are the alternates.
