Neshoba Central stuns New Hope

The Lady Rockets of Neshoba Central scored four runs in the bottom of the third inning and then held on to knock off No. 1-ranked New Hope High School 4-3 on Thursday night.
After New Hope scored two runs in the the top of the third to take a 2-0 lead, the Lady Rockets, now 10-4 on the season, rallied in the bottom of the inning.
Alana Moore had a big two-run double in the inning, while Kady Chandler delivered a run-scoring triple. Chandler went 3-for-3 on the night.
New Hope scored a single run in the top of the fourth, before Neshoba Central turned up the defensive pressure.
Philadelphia 8
West Lauderdale 6
The visiting Lady Tornadoes scored four runs in the top of the seventh and then limited a last-inning West Lauderdale rally to just one run on the way to an 8-6 upset win over the Lady Knights.
West Lauderdale had scored one run in the bottom of the sixth to take a 5-4 lead, before Philly pulled off the rally to move to 8-6 on the season. West Lauderdale falls to 12-2.
Latisha Johnson ripped a triple and single to lead Philly, while Candice Griffin, Shanique Brass and Jillian Sparnecht had two singles each and Shanese Hunter ripped a double.
J.J. Huggins had two doubles for West Lauderdale, while Courtney Godwin, Jo Havard and Holly Herrington had two singles each. Katie Moulds added a double.
The Lady Knights host West Lauderdale on Monday at 7 p.m.
Enterprise 10
Taylorsville 0
The Lady Bulldogs of Enterprise High School moved to 7-3 overall and and 2-1 in division play with a 10-0 win over the Lady Tartars of Taylorsville on Thursday.
Charly Speed had a triple and single for the winners, while Brittany Speed and Shannon Creel had two singles each and Laura Speed ripped a double.
EHS hosts Northeast Lauderdale in a pair of varsity games beginning at noon on Saturday.
Clarkdale 17
Southeast Lauderdale 5
Clarkdale High School pounded out 27 hits, with nine players picking up at least two.
JorD'an Orr and Sabrina Woodall had two doubles and two singles each to lead the Lady Bulldogs, while Emily Howard had four singles and Brandi Wright ripped a double and two singles.
Megan Potate had a double and single for the winners, while Ashley Bye, Savannah Satcher, Casey Meador and Kimbo Seale had two singles each.
