A Meridian man was booked into Lauderdale County jail Tuesday on a kidnapping charge that is still under investigation.
Tracey D. Moore, 28, 1924 26th Ave., is also a suspect in the January armed robbery of local businessman Ralph Morgan and his wife, Elizabeth. Moore had been free on bond in that case.
Maj. Ward Calhoun of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department said investigators received information that Moore left Mississippi. Moore was caught in Georgia when he was stopped for a traffic violation.
Moore and Lee T. Amerson, 21, 1719 Highway 19 North, Apartment 47, face charges in the armed robbery of Morgan.
