Welcome to a visiting hero

By Staff

New York City firefighter Vincent Molinini and his wife, Maria, have spent this weekend learning more about Meridian's history and our hometown firefighters, and also about the wonderful people who choose to make this their home. During lunches and dinners, receptions and tours, the Molininis have been gracious and receptive to the gestures of friendship and deep appreciation sent their way.
We all share in the serious nature of Molinini's demanding job and in the aftershock of 9/11. His presence in Meridian serves as an appropriate reminder that we remain one country, compassionate toward our fellow Americans, unified in the cause of freedom and committed to the fight against terrorism.
