Dr. and Mrs. A.P. Boggan of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Anne Boggan of New York City, to Lt. Col. Jeffery T. Harris of Fort Lewis, Wash., son of Doloros Bailey-Thomas and Dr. Pat Harris, both of Decatur.
The couple will exchanged vows on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at 6 p.m. at Decatur United Methodist Church.
Miss Boggan is a film editor for VastVideo, creating video content for the Internet. She recently competed working with director Macky Alston of River Films on his documentary "Questioning Faith," which can be seen on HBO in 2002.
Mr. Harris currently holds the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, Military Police Corps, and is the deputy brigadier commander of the 1st Military Police Brigade stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash. He has served in Germany, Alabama, Texas, Kansas, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Haiti and Kosovo.
