Edwards, Phillips

An afternoon garden wedding was the setting for the ceremony that united Tanya Phillips and Richard Edwards together in holy matrimony on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, on the grounds of the home of the Rev. Reid Vaughn in Cuba, Ala.
The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Reid Vaughn.
The bride is the daughter of Betty Phillips of Philadelphia and John Phillips of Chicago, Ill. Her grandparents are W.C. Tubby of Philadelphia and the late Audie Day.
The bridegroom is the son of Stacy and Leigh Ann Edwards of Philadelphia. His grandparents are Bobby and Gerri Edwards of Toomsuba, the late Leroy and Eunice Dean Beckham and the late Jeanette Edwards, all of Philadelphia.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Greg Phillips of Philadelphia.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Maxine Moore of Philadelphia. Bridesmaids was Samantha Edwards of Philadelphia, sister of the bridegroom.
Mike Withers of Philadelphia served as best man. Joey Edwards of Philadelphia, brother of the bridegroom, served as bridegroomsman.
Chad and Tiffany Dorman of Collinsville, cousins of the bridegroom, served as ring bearer and flower girl. Monica Edwards, cousin of the bridegroom, served as the rice bag hostess.
Wynette Williamson of Philadelphia, aunt of the bridegroom, attended the guest register.
A reception was held in the home of the bridegroom's grandparents, Bobby and Gerri Edwards, following the ceremony.
Assisting in the reception were the bridegroom's aunts, Jennifer Dorman and Janis Coats, and Tasha Phillips, sister-in-law of the bride.
The couple resides in the Hope Community of Neshoba County.
