QUITMAN It took a Clarke County jury about two hours Wednesday to return three guilty verdicts in the embezzlement trial of former Clarke County Justice Court clerk Lynn Fagan.
Circuit Judge Larry Roberts will set a sentencing hearing later. Fagan remained free on bond.
Fagan was charged with three counts of the embezzlement, stemming from allegations that she allegedly embezzled $1,200 in funds she received in her role of an assistant clerk in the Justice Court office.
The prosecution rested its case early Wednesday morning. The defense rested in mid-afternoon, and the jury began its deliberations about 5:15 p.m.
