POMIERSKI, WRIGHT
Tabitha K. Wright and Dr. David A. Pomierski, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Royal Sonesta Courtyard in New Orleans with Judge Dennis Waldron officiating.
Parents of the couple are Harvey and Kaye Wright of Meridian; Shirley Pomierski and the late Dr. Alex A. Pomierski. Grandparent of the bride is Daisy Wheat.
Alexis Pomierski, daughter of the bridegroom, performed a classical song.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of Venice Italian satin silk with a two-toned platinum band covering the bodice, which was hand-embroidered with flowers. The bodice was also accented with pearls and beads.
The slim-fitting skirt held a detachable train. She also wore platinum elbow-length gloves and baby's breath in her hair. She carried a bouquet of dendrobium orchids.
Matron of honor was Diane Pomierski of Chicago, sister-in-law of the bridegroom.
Elizabeth Pomierski of Meridian, daughter of the bridegroom, was junior bridesmaid.
Dr. Tom Pomierski of Chicago, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Reid Pomierski of Meridian, son of the bridegroom, served as ring bearer.
A reception was held at Royal Sonesta Hotel and Courtyard following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple resides in Meridian.
SANDRIDGE, KING
Melinda Ann King and Gregory Todd Sandridge, both of Brandon, were married Saturday, April 28, 2001, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Brandon, with the Rev. Hobson Toney officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ennis King of Waynesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Sandridge of Brandon.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. James King and Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Bishop, all of Waynesboro.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Dyke Sandridge of Hernando; Gwen Lane of Brandon and the late Harold Lane.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Jennifer Clark, pianist; and Marilyn Julian, organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a two-piece ivory gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves and a fitted bodice adorned with crystals and pearls. The bodice eased to an A-line chiffon skirt with a sweep train. Her elbow-length ivory waterfall veil was held by an ornate headpiece of pearls and crystals.
Angela Nelson of Jackson, Tenn., attended her sister as matron of honor. Maid of honor was Lara McKee of Waynesboro.
Other attendants were Lyle Greer, Leta Lowery and Dawn Russell, all of Hattiesburg, Amber Wall of Hawthorne, Fla., Brooke Revette and Shelley Gough, both of Ridgeland, Leslie Fulton of Philadelphia, Jennifer McDowell of Jackson and Christy Stevens of Madison.
Olivia Sandridge and Mari Alex Sandridge, both of Hernando, were flower girls.
Mark Sandridge of Nashville, Tenn., served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Thomas King of Waynesboro, brother of the bride, Dale Russell, Derek Qualls and Mike Caldwell, all of Hattiesburg, Shannon Sandridge, Shannon Conard and David Lane, all of Brandon, Jay Hill, Bridgforth Rutledge and Brad Stevens, all of Madison, and Eric Knox of Denver, Colo.
Ushers were Jimbo Pinnix of Brandon and Barry Stokes of Jackson.
Ring bearers were Kirkland Sandridge and Harrison Sandridge, both of Hernando, and Slater Nelson of Jackson, Tenn.
Program attendant were Kathryn Kyzer.
A reception was held at Colonial Country Club in Jackson following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon, in Whistler, Canada, the couple resides in Madison.
