MAA holds annual banquet this weekend

The Meridian Athletic Association will hold its annual banquet and awards presentation this weekend. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center auditorium.
Athlete of the Year awards will be given to males and females in the following categories: Overall, junior, masters, grand masters, senior masters and walker.
The featured speaker Saturday will be John Cobb, a bike shop owner from Shreveport, La. Cobb has worked with two-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong.
