50TH ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Hollingsworth Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Hollingsworth Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family on Oct. 14, 2000, at Merrehope. The occasion was hosted by their children and their spouses, Jerry and Belinda Droddy, Jim and Shelia Tucker, Randy and Karen White, Jeff and Deanie Hollingsworth and Greg and Kay Evans. The couple were married Oct. 18, 1950, in Yuma, Ariz.
60TH ANNIVERSARY
Lamar and Jewell Taylor
Lamar and Jewell Taylor celebrated their 60th anniversary on Nov. 16, 2000, with their family and friends. The occasion was hosted by the couple's children and grandchildren, Frances Thornhill, Faye and David McIlwain and Priestly and Janice Taylor. The Taylors were married Nov. 16, 1940, at the bride's family home. Mr. Taylor is a retired peach and cattle farmer and a former Lauderdale County Supervisor.
