NW-SCC presents 2014 Kids in College

The Northwest-Shoals Community College (NW-SCC) Child Development Center is gearing up for the 2014 Kids in College “Let’s Walk on the Creative Side” summer camp July 21-25.

The camp is open to children entering grades Kindergarten through 6th in the fall.

Lucy Swindle from Lucy’s Artsy Place in Muscle Shoals will serve as camp director.

Campers will be provided with quality learning experiences with highly qualified staff providing 45-minute hands-on sessions in the areas of art, music, dance, and cooking. Healthy snacks will be provided daily.

The camp schedule will be:

• Monday: ART of Pottery/Clay

• Tuesday: ART of Building

• Wednesday: ART of Music and Dance

• Thursday: ART of Cooking

• Friday: Exhibition for all projects including a PowerPoint

Children are to arrive promptly ay 8 a.m. so that the day’s events can start and conclude on time each day at 12 p.m. noon.

Registration cost is $75 per child or $70 per child for families with two or more children participating. Spaces are limited and early registration is encouraged. The deadline for registration is July 10.
