City officials make final plans for Tuesday’s elections

Voters will head to the polls Tuesday to decide who will lead the county’s municipalities for the next four years.
While there are no elections in Red Bay and Vina, Hodges has one council seat up for grabs and Phil Campbell has several races on the ballot.
Most of the action this cycle, however, has been in Russellville where each council seat is being challenged and the mayor’s race is set between an incumbent and a sitting city councilman.
Russellville city officials said there would be a few differences that voters needed to be aware of. The District 3 voting precinct will be inside the conference room at the City Hall building and parking will be available behind the building.
The District 5 box will be at the A.W. Todd Centre.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and no write-in candidates are allowed in municipal elections.
