RUSSELLVILLE — A Vina man went before Franklin County Circuit Court Judge Brian P. Hamilton on Monday to find out if he will remain in jail after allegedly texting a teenager last month.
Jonathan Randall Lowery, who is also known as Randy Lowery, was arrested and charged in 2024 with electronic solicitation of a child. He voluntarily turned himself into the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department on July 29 after learning there was a warrant for his arrest.
The person who received the messages is 16 years old, Sgt. Kyle Palmer said.
Lowery, 39, was arrested and charged with electronic solicitation of a child on Nov. 19, 2024, after texting a child under the age of 15 and trying to meet for the purpose of engaging in a sexual act, according to court records.
He was booked into the Franklin County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He was released from jail on Nov. 21, 2024, after making bond with the condition that he was prohibited from communicating with females
under the age of 18.
