Belgreen dominates Red Devils in 17-3 victory

The Belgreen Bulldogs delivered a decisive 17-3 victory over the Vina Red Devils this week, showcasing a powerful offensive and dominant pitching performance. The Bulldogs wasted no time asserting their dominance, exploding for 10 runs in the first inning, effectively setting the tone for the game.

Belgreen continued to apply pressure, adding four runs in the third inning and three more in the fourth, securing a comfortable lead.

At the plate, Colton Ashton led the charge with a single and a triple, driving in three runs and crossing the plate twice. Easton Mitchell also contributed significantly, hitting a single and a double, collecting two RBI and scoring two runs. Aaden Marsh and Ty Hamilton each added two RBI to the Bulldogs’ impressive offensive display.

On the mound, the Belgreen pitching staff proved impenetrable. Konner Trapp, Noah Scott, Ashton and Hamilton combined efforts to limit the Red Devils to just one hit, while striking out an impressive 10 batters.

In the two teams’ second meeting later in the week, the results were the same. Belgreen beat Vina 13-1. Hamilton, who is coming off several months of rehab following a knee injury in football, picked up the win from the mound. He allowed just one hit, a bunt single, and struck out three in two innings of work.

Rush Berryman and Mitchell finished the game off for the Bulldogs.

Ashton reached base four times and scored three runs. Berryman had two hits, two RBI and scored three runs. Gabrian Wilson had a single and a double, a RBI and scored twice.

Belgreen also pounded Cherokee 17-2 last week. The Bulldogs scored eight runs in the first inning and nine in the second inning. Marsh had three hits, two RBIs and scored twice. Hamilton had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice. Trapp had a hit, two RBIs and scored two runs.
