Belgreen routs Cherokee, 15-2, with 13-hit attack

The Belgreen Bulldogs left no doubt about their dominance last Tuesday night, steamrolling the Cherokee Indians with a resounding 15-2 victory. The Bulldogs’ bats were red-hot, racking up 13 hits, while their pitching staff held the Indians in check.

The game was effectively decided in the first inning as Belgreen exploded for a nine-run barrage. Brayden Messer led the charge, collecting two of his three hits in the opening inning.

Konner Trapp set the tone on the mound, delivering a solid performance in his starting role. Trapp pitched the first two and two-thirds innings, silencing the Indians’ bats and allowing no hits and no runs. He struck out three batters.

The Bulldogs continued to pour it on, adding two more runs in the third inning and four in the fourth, putting the game well out of reach. Messer capped off his impressive night with another single in the fourth, solidifying his three-hit performance. He also added three RBI.

Colton Ashton, Rush Berryman and Noah Scott all enjoyed multi-hit games. Ashton contributed two hits, while Scott also added two. Berryman had a standout night, going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Berryman’s double was one of the highlights of the game, showcasing the Bulldogs’ ability to generate extra-base hits. The team’s ability to hit through the whole lineup proved too much for the Indians.

The Cherokee Indians struggled to find their rhythm, both offensively and defensively. They managed to score two runs but were unable to contain the Bulldogs’ powerful lineup.

Belgreen 18, Waterloo 2 The Bulldogs showcased their offensive firepower in a commanding 18-2 victory over Waterloo. After giving Belgreen a two-run lead in the top of the first inning, Belgreen responded with a 10-run outburst in the bottom of the first, effectively seizing control of the game.

The Bulldogs’ bats pounded out 11 hits in the contest. Berryman led the charge with a stellar threehit performance, including two doubles. Scott and Trapp also contributed significantly, each recording two hits with Scott adding a double of his own.

Eli Mitchell drove in three runs, while Berryman, Scott and Messer each contributed two RBI, highlighting the team’s balanced offensive attack.

Belgreen continued to add to its lead, scoring three runs in the third inning and five more in the fourth.
