Henry Allen Counts, 86, of Mt. Hope, passed away Jan. 4. Visitation w as held Jan. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel. A funeral service took place Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Hope Methodist Cemetery. Barbara “Sue” Morgan Smith Jan. 4, 2025

Barbara “Sue” Morgan Smith, 86, of the East Franklin community, passed away Jan. 4. Visitation was held Jan. 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Plesant Hill Congregational Church in Phil Campbell. The funeral service immediately followed visitation. Burial was at East Franklin Cemetery. Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville assisted the family.

Lidora Louise Johnson Satterfield Jan. 2, 2025

Lidora Louise Johnson-Satterfield, 87, of Spruce Pine, passed away Jan. 2. A memorial service was held Jan. 5 at 3:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Rusellville, Ala.

Yyvonne (Lawler) Quinn, 89, of Spruce Pine, Ala., passed away Jan. 2. Visitation was held Jan.

8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Mt. Hebron Church in Spruce Pine. The funeral service immediately followed the visitation. Burial was in Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg, Ala. Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.

Annie Lorine Michael, 84, of Foley, Ala., formerly of Russellville, Ala., passed away Dec. 30. Visitation was held Jan. 4 from 1-2 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel. A service took place directly after. Burial was in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
