Red Bay Founders Fest has come and gone once again, but before this year’s event, the festival received the distinction of being named Organization of the Year, an award presented to the Alabama Mountain Lakes Association member organization that is determined to have contributed “significantly” to the betterment and development of tourism in North Alabama during the past year.

“Red Bay Founders Fest is honored to have been chosen as the event of the year by the Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association,” said Red Bay mayor Charlene Fancher. “Year after year, the City of Red Bay continues to promote its Founders Fest event, and we continue increasing the activities and variety of vendors. Founders Fest is a wonderful opportunity to bring people together for a fun day and to promote all of our businesses in Red Bay.”
