PHOTOS: Russellville Public Library holds princess, pirates bounce party

The first event in this year’s summer reading program at Russellville Public Library took place June 14 from 2-4 p.m. Activities included an obstacle course bouncy house, face painting and a visit from the Ice Cream Truck of Russellville.

“The summer reading program kickoff event was so much fun,” said RPL director Joshlyn Bowen. “We had 50 children attend, and each child received a summer reading log, got their face painted and hair tinseled by ‘The Fairy Hair Pop Up Princess,’ laughed and posed with five Disney princesses, enjoyed story time with Diane Wages Pace and navigated the outdoor obstacle course like champs.

“Each child also received a special treat from the Ice Cream Truck of Russellville.

“Thank you to Pilgrims of Russellville for sponsoring our summer reading program. The memories that are made through this program will last a lifetime.”
