Belgreen, Vina get softball wins

Belgreen scored all 14 runs in a 14-4 win over Glencoe in the second inning of their game on Saturday.

Mackinley Hogan, Bryn Scott, Charley Hogan and Caitlyn Oliver all scored twice in the second inning. Hannah Borden, Morgan Vandiver and Morgan Lauderdale all scored as well.

Scott, Borden and Lauderdale all had two RBI each.

Lily Blackburn got the win in the circle for the Bulldogs.

Vina beat Tremont (Miss.) 17-1 earlier in the week.

The Red Devil bats were on fire with doubles coming from AC Chandler, Aimee Shotts, Braxtyn Quinn, Kenzie Elrod and Mikala Mitchell.

Shotts, Quinn and Chandler all had three hits each. Lana Bell and Mitchell had two hits each.

Chandler had six RBI and Quinn scored four times.

Bell pitched the first four innings of the game, allowing one hit, no runs and struck out seven.
