Red Bay tops Sheffield in area series

The Red Bay Tigers swept the Sheffield Bulldogs in an area series last week 12-7 and 3-0.

In game one, Ty Reynolds drove in five runs in three hits to lead Red Bay past Sheffield 12-7.

Reynolds tripled in the seventh, scoring two, singled in the first, scoring one, hit a sacrifice fly in the second, scoring one and singled in the third, scoring one.

In game two, a single by Reed Hamilton put the Tigers on the board first. Red Bay added to their lead in the second inning on a run after a wild pitch. Jeramiah Thorne also scored on a single.

Ty Reynold got the shutout win, allowing just two hits and striking out five in six and half innings. Eli Farris got the save for the Tigers.

Red Bay 11, Belgreen 0

A seven run first inning was all Red Bay needed to breeze past Belgreen 11-0.

Reed Hamilton led Red Bay at the plate doubling in two runs.

Jeramiah Thorne had two hits and scored a run.

Aiden Pruitt got the shutout win, allowing one hit and striking out five.
