RES, WES present Veterans Day program Nov. 9

Russellville Elementary School and West Elementary School will present a public Veterans Day celebration Nov. 9 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the RCS Auditorium at Russellville High School. Lt. Col. Norman Lier is the guest speaker, and WES and RES students will feature with choral performances. A Veterans parade will take place at 9:30 a.m., immediately following the program, between the RES and WES parking lots.

“We are looking forward to honoring our veterans during ths special program,” explained RES assistant principal Channing Wright. “We are thankful for their service, commitment and dedication to our country.”

Wright said the schools hope to have a good turnout.

“Our students are looking forward to showing their appreciation.”
