Education Foundation plans annual scholarship dinner

The Russellville City Schools Education Foundation’s annual scholarship dinner, its biggest fundraising event of the year, is resuming after a two-year hiatus in deference to COVID-19 precautions.

The event will take place at 5 p.m. April 25 at the A.W. Todd Centre in downtown Russellville. Activities will include a silent auction, dinner and entertainment. All proceeds support classroom grants and student scholarships.

Tickets are $50 each may be purchased from a foundation board member or by emailing Nina McNatt at Russellville High, nina.mcnatt@rcs.k12.al.us. Other contacts include Monica Moon and Jason Walker at RMS and Addie Harbin at RES.

“We’re thrilled to be able to resume the dinner,” said Foundation President Sharon Hester. “This is a wonderful event that brings people together for an enjoyable evening while also helping to recognize achievers and generate funds to further educational opportunities for our students.”

The Russellville City Schools Education Foundation, established in 2012, is a non-profit organization.
