Belgreen tops Red Bay with 46-31 finish

The Belgreen Bulldogs defeated the Red Bay Tigers in a holiday matchup Nov. 23, 46-31.

Red Bay was able to stay competitive early on thanks to threepointers, but the Bulldog defense tightened down in the second quarter, limiting the Tigers to 11 firsthalf points, nine of which came on three threepointers.

Belgreen led Red Bay 11-8 at the end of the first quarter. Collin Bonner scored seven of the Bulldogs’ 11 firstquarter points.

Belgreen outscored Red Bay 15-3 in the second quarter. Adrian Reeves hit two three-point shots for the Bulldogs.

Belgreen controlled the pace of the game throughout the second half, leading 37-21 at the end of the third quarter.

Will Bonner led Belgreen with 19 points. Reeves followed with 10 points. Collin Bonner scored eight points, Canaan Stough had six points, Austin James got two points, and Cole King had one point.

Carson Corum led Red Bay with nine points, hitting a three in each of the first three quarters. B.P. Blair added eight points, Holden Inmon six points, Landon Glover four points, Andrew Ray two points and Lawson Glover two points.
