Russellville boys top Red Bay

Connor Warhust led a balanced scoring attack to help lead the Russellville Golden Tigers past the Red Bay Tigers 53-49 Saturday at the Bracy Invitational at Deshler High School.

Red Bay and Russellville were knotted 10-10 at the end of the first quarter. Russellville was able to create some space in a highscoring second quarter to take a 36-32 halftime lead.

Red Bay held Russellville in check the third quarter to take the lead 44-43, but Russellville was able to hold Red Bay to five fourthquarter points to get the win.

Warhurst led the Golden Tigers with 13 points. He was followed by Brooks Scott and Jeb Bishop, who scored 11 points each. Chandler Dyas added 10 points. Boots McCullough and Samuel Pace rounded out the scoring with six points and two points, respectively.

Red Bay had a balanced offensive attack as well, with Landon Glover and Braden Ray scoring 12 points each. Lane Shewbart added 10 points. Jalen Vinson finished the game with eight points; Gage Bays had five points; and Hunter Burks added two points.
