Homefolks U.S.A.
Hi friends,
For the past couple of weeks, I have not had a story for Homefolks U.S.A. Sometimes it’s good to take a break and give yourself a little rest.
I am thankful my followers and friends have missed the stories and have asked about them. Thanks so much for reading our stories and making the nice comments every week.
This past Sunday, June 14, our country celebrated Flag Day. I am told a small–town Wisconsin teacher originated the idea for an annual flag day to be celebrated across the country every June 14 in 1885.
The streets in Russellville have been decorated for the past several weeks with the flags, and I am happy to see them being displayed.
I am looking forward to the day when this coronavirus “scare” is over and life returns to normal for so many people.
Think: How many times have you heard the words, “social distance” or “mask.” I am ready for life to return to normal again. How about you?
Maybe this time will teach us to be careful about where we go and how we should take precautions about our health in general.
I want everyone to be concerned and careful, but I really think many have taken this to the extreme. Everyone cannot wear a mask; some have trouble breathing with a mask on.
Let’s just be kind and careful to everyone we meet because many times we do not know what that person might be going through at this time in their life.
It is good to know we have a great number who have recovered from their sickness and are back to leading normal lives.
This is a special time when we need to be praying for our nation that all will be well in the days ahead. I will! How about you?
