Florence Irene Sanderson

Florence Irene Sanderson, 92, of Phil Campbell, passed away May 10 at Burns Nursing Home.

Mrs. Sanderson worked for years at Flower Craft and loved making flower arrangements. She was full of spirit, loved to dance and ride motorcycles, and she fiercely loved her family. She leaves behind so many memories that her family will treasure forever.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Gary, Jimmy, Ronnie and Dennis Eugene, as well as her parents, Charlie Wheeler Nelson and Mary Ethel (Bumgarth) Nelson, and several brothers and sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Bruce Langley (wife, Stella), Tina Wilbanks (husband, Larry) and Denise Steward (husband, David); grandchildren, Sherry Hawkins, Gary Ray Nelson, Leslie Langley, Bruce Langley II, Charlie Nelson, Derrek Osborne and William Wimberly; great-grandchildren, Destiny Williams, Christopher Hawkins, Austin Fisher and Ian Guyton; great-great-grandson, Walker Williams; sisters, Hazel Kelsoe, Mary Rachel Hill, Lucille Flannigan and Mildred Plott; dear friends, Anna Mae DeVaney and Nancy Moore; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be Gary Nelson, Charlie Nelson, Bruce Langley II, William Wimberly, Teddy Wilkins and Darryl Gaddy.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Burns Nursing Home and nurse practitioner Ashton Wimberly for the care of our mother and grandmother.
