Bobcat boys get two weekend wins

The Phil Campbell Bobcats got two wins Saturday over Lamar County and Tishomingo County.

In the early game against Lamar County, Mason Swinney had a four-RBI performance to lead the Bobcats to an easy 19-5 win. Swinney had a home run in the first inning, scoring two, and later scored two on a sacrifice fly.

Phil Campbell took the lead early but put the game away in the second inning, scoring eight runs. Rilan Garrison, Ridge Raper, Levi Crittenden, Trey Leindecker, Luke Barnwell and Swinney all had RBIs in the inning.

Austen Baker had a big day for the Bobcats, going 2-for-2 with thee RBIs and scoring three runs.

Barnwell, Garrison, Raper, Crittenden and Kyle Pace all had two RBIs each.

Barnwell got the win on the mound for the Bobcats, going three innings and allowing four hits and four runs while striking out three batters.

Phil Campbell had back-to-back three-run innings to defeat Tishomingo County 6-2.

Baker scored two runs and had an RBI. Barnwell, Swinney and Raper also had an RBI each in the game.

Raper got the win on the mound, striking out nine without giving up a hit.
