The young Belgreen Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker in the second game of their area series against the Hackleburg Panthers. Belgreen lost both games in the series, 7-8 and 6-13.

In game one, Belgreen led 3-1 at the end of the first inning. Hackleburg came back to tie the game with a run in the third and a run in the fourth. Belgren got a big game at the plate by Jacob Flemming, who had three hits, including a double, and scored two runs. Carson Cox had two hits, including a double, and scored two runs.

In game two, the Bulldogs took the Panthers to extra innings before losing on a fielder’s choice in the bottom of the ninth inning, 8-7.
