Belgreen downs Tharptown

Emma Dempsey had a big day at the plate and in the circle to help the Belgreen Bulldogs shut out the Tharptown Wildcats 6-0.

Dempsey went 2-for-3 from the plate with a double and two RBIs and scored a run. In the circle she went seven innings and struck out six batters, allowing six hits and no runs.

Both teams were scoreless going into the bottom of the fourth inning, when Belgreen put two runs on the board. The Bulldogs would score three more in the fifth and one in the sixth to get the win.

Belgreen outhit Tharptown nine hits to seven.

Katie Dempsey roped a triple. Camie Terrell, Emma Dempsey, Katie Dempsey, Gracie Dempsey and Jaylen Johnson all scored runs for the Bulldogs.

Shaylee Wieting went 3-for-3 for Tharptown.
