Rachel Lee Hurst Heathcoat

 

Rachel Lee Hurst Heathcoat, age 74, passed away Sept. 14 at ECM Hospital.

The visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Sep. 17 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 18 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jerry Verbon Vandiver officiating. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Osalee (Bonner) Hurst, son Timothy Vaughn and sister Bessie Hurst Searcy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Walter Ed Heathcoat; children, Wayne Allen Guthrie and Dewey Guthrie; step-children, Jim Heathcoat, Patty Heathcoat, Timothy Heathcoat and Brenda Smith; grandchildren, DeWayne Guthrie, Patrick Vaughn, Derrick Vaughn and Michael Paul Guthrie; brother, Marshall Hurst and wife Genelle; sisters, Dorothy Simpson and Mary Staggs; and a host of nieces and nephews.
