Shirley Jolene Baker Pounders

Shirley Jolene Baker Pounders, age 72, Franklin County, passed away Nov. 8 at ECM Hospital.

Mrs. Pounders was a mother to many kids, not just her own. She was always willing to help anyone and was loved by all who knew her.

Any and all of Mrs. Pounders’ family and friends are invited to the visitation which will be from noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 12 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville, with the funeral following at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Gray Rock Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her father, Audie Odell Baker; mother, Jessie Mae Creekmore; brothers, Donnie Franklin Baker and Hershel Baker; and sisters, Barbara Ruth Scott and Judy Marcus.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Sherrie Pounders and husband Larry Buffler; son, Joseph Pounders; granddaughter, Shenoah Pounders and fiancé Caleb Roden; great-grandchildren, Noah Elijah Pounders and Cooper Jackson Pounders; siblings, Doris Jean Baker, Larry Baker, Ricky Baker and Robbie Baker; and a host of nieces and nephews.
