Thomas Edward “T.E.” Brown

Thomas Edward “T.E.” Brown, 84, of Russellville, passed away Nov. 4 in Florence after a brief illness.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 7 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will be held Nov. 8 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Haygood of Huntsville officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Memory Gardens in Russellville.
Mr. Brown was born in Frisco City to Lewis Edward and Eula Campbell Brown April 7, 1932. He married Katherine Ruth Seay Feb. 13, 1955. He worked and retired as the secretary treasurer-vice chairman for the TCU/BRC and Norfolk Southern Railway after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served his country honorably as a member of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Brown; father, Lewis Edward Brown; mother, Eula Campbell Brown; stepmother, Carrie Brown; brothers John Brown and Dick Cooper; sisters Voncile Borders, Joanne McCullar, Betty Goodwin and Shirley Barrett; and grandson Tobias McKay.
He is survived by his daughter, Debra Ann McCalpin of Red Bay; sons, Mark McKay and wife Freida of Phil Campbell and Keith Brown and wife Gaye of Birmingham; brother, Bud “Little Hall” McCollum of Anaheim, Calif.; grandsons, Thomas McCalpin of Tuscumbia and Troy Mather and wife Marlena of Phil Campbell; granddaughters, Marie Parker and husband Curtis of Huntsville, Ericka Jones and husband Jamie of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Mary-Katherine Harrison and husband Drew of Florence, Staci Tawbush of Las Vegas, Nev., and Amanda Knotts and husband Gary of Decatur; and a host of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Thomas McCalpin, Shane Curtis, Bob Seay, Lance Seay, Richard McGee, Curtis Parker, Troy Mather and Jamie Jones.
