Cecil Hoyle Scott, age 85 of Russellville, Ala.  passed away on Wed., Aug. 24, 2016.
Visitation will be Sat., Aug. 27, 2016 12-2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home Russellville.  Funeral services will be Sat., Aug. 27, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Scott, his mother and father Rufus Walter and Melverdie Scott, and his sister Joyce Faye Sweat.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Alan Scott and wife Selene, Ronald Dale Scott and wife, Bobbie, his daughter Sonya Leigh Scott, his sister Hollie Knight Toland and husband, Marty, his brothers Landel Scott and wife, Rose and Larry Thomas Scott, his grandchildren Zachary Alan Scott, Cortney Lauren Oliver and Ashley Morgan Oliver, his nieces and nephews Denise Hanley, Jeff Knight and Jerry Knight, and a host of loving cousins.
